Our Opinion... for La Digue, a relatively large, well established hotel offering relaxed accommodation in an informal atmosphere. Being one of only two hotels on La Digue with a swimming and childrens' pool, La Digue Island Lodge is particularly favoured by families.

La Digue Island Lodge is the largest hotel on La Digue Island, providing a wide choice of accommodation ranging from the Plantation House Suites to the garden and beach-front chalets.
All rooms are comfortably furnished, with the majority of the beach front and garden chalets randomly scattered amidst the colourful and exotic gardens. The informal, sand-floor restaurant provides a wonderful setting to experience the hotel’s rather tasty international and local cuisine. Creole barbecues are organised on a regular accompanied by local bands, singing and dancing. These evenings are always very popular and great fun. There is a pool restaurant and bar available throughout the day, which offers a superb à la carte menu including freshly caught grilled fish, locally spiced meats and salads. Hotel guests are offered complimentary daily boat excursions to neighbouring islands and a twice-weekly sunset cruise.
Guests will also receive complimentary passes to L’Union Estate, an interesting area of La Digue where you can appreciate the beauty of this unique island. It is within this private estate that you can visit the breathtaking Source d’Argent Beach, well known and loved for its dramatic granite rock formations that drift down the hillside into the sea.
